About the artist4
Meie seast on lahkunud vanema põlve graafik Leopold Ennosaar, üks Günther Reindorffi õpilasi Riigi Kunsttööstuskoolis ja Ado Vabbe õpilasi Tartu Riiklikus Kunstiinstituudis. Ta on olnud ka graafika õppejõud kunstiinstituudis Tartus (1947-51) ja Tallinnas (1951-54). Hiljem töötas ta vabakunstnikuna. Kunstniku viljakaim loomeperiood langeb 1950.-60. aastatesse. Meelisñanriks oli linnavaade, eelkõige puugravüüris, mille peenekoelisemaid viljelejaid Ennosaar oli, aga ka akvatintas ja teistes tehnikates. Abstaktsema käsitluslaadi tendents puudutas 1960.-70. aastate vahetusel tedagi. Peale vabagraafika on kunstnik loonud ka eksliibriseid. Kuigi tema pärand ei ole ulatuslik, paelub see stabiilse teostuskultuuriga. Erudeeritud, kunstielule erksalt kaasa elav ning hea huumorimeelega Leopold Ennosaar oli 1980. aastateni kunstnikeseltskonna koloriitsemaid liikmeid, hinnatud vestluskaaslane. Ta oli 1966. a. moodustatud Eesti Looduskaitse Seltsi üks asutajaid.
