About the artist4
Maalikunstnik, sündinud 1922 Tallinnas. Kunstiõpinguid alustas 1942 Tallinna Kujutava ja Rakenduskunsti Koolis, jätkas 1943 Tartus “Pallases“, 1944-46 Tartu Riiklikus Kunstiinstituudis, ning 1946-49 Tallinna Riiklikus Tarbekunsti Instituudis, lõpetas ERKI 1961. Töötanud joonistusõpetajana 1961-62 Tallinnas, aastast 1969 maaliõppejõuna TPÜ-s. Aastast 1965 KL-I liige. Algul lõi optimistlikke noorteteemalisi figuurikompositsioone. Hiljem eelistanud looduslähedast maastikumaali. Viljelenud ka akvarelli. Näitused aastast 1958.
